Shannon has been living with HIV/AIDS since 1992. She has seen and experienced firsthand the need for HIV/AIDS-related support and education for women in Colorado. Shannon brings a wealth of applicable experiences to her work with WLP in addition to her personal familiarity with being HIV-positive and navigating the healthcare and social service systems on her own. Rica started with WLP in 2007 and directs the Women In Correction Program. She is a graduate of the AIDS Alliance Leadership Development Program, and her enthusiasm for her work shows in the success of the program.
Kara has been writing grants for WLP since 2005. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and has worked with a variety of nonprofits in the Denver Community for the past 12 years. Kara has a sense of compassion that is well suited for this work and shows in her writing and gathering information for WLP.
